Come celebrate and help SAVE the Bear River
This is an immersion weekend exclusively for Dam Watchdogs, PARC members, and Save Bear River devotees and their families to celebrate the river, meet other friends of the Bear River, and take next steps together to Save the Bear River and Stop Centennial Dam.
Bear River Threat: This reach of the Bear River is threatened by Nevada Irrigation District’s proposed 275-foot high Centennial Dam. This very campground would be inundated by over 120-feet of water. Come celebrate the river as it is, and learn what this proposal is all about. Find out for yourself what is at stake, and why this dam should never happen. Help us launch a vision for the future, restoring not destroying this river. We can solve all our problems with wise use of what we already have--- saving the best for our children’s children. There are clear opportunities and clear risks. Come live, and learn, and celebrate this beautiful river.
Please, no alcohol, drugs or pets!
This event is being presented by the Bear River Awakening Project, American River Watershed Institute.
A limited number of camping sites are available. Meals are your own responsibility.
Please REGISTER by using the RSVP Form, below.
